How Do I Create an Account?

After you sign in, you will be prompted to create an account in the Create Account screen. You have the option to upload a profile photo, change the username and add information about yourself. The information field allows links. The link has to be a single line starting with the https:// Please note; that while you rate photos and leave comments, your account will not be seen on the User list and you can't receive comments until you have uploaded at least one photo to your account.

How Do I Change My Username Or Profile Picture?

To change your username or profile picture, first, go to your account page by selecting the Account tab at the bottom of the screen. Then click the menu button ☰ in the upper right corner of the green banner. Once the menu is open, select the Edit Account button. Alternatively, you can tap on your profile picture or username. On the next page, tap the Change Profile Photo button. Click on your preferred photo, and it will become your profile photo.

How Do I Edit My Profile?

Select the Account tab at the bottom of your screen. Once you're on the Account page click on the menu button ☰ located in the upper right corner of the green banner. Once the menu is open, tap on Edit Account. Alternatively, you can just tap on your profile picture or username. On this page you have several options to edit your profile, you can: change your profile picture, change your username, add the user info.

How Do I Upload a Photo?

To upload a photo, tap on the Account tab at the bottom of your screen. If you are uploading a photo for the first time, select the + Add Photo icon on your account screen. Selecting the + Add Photo icon brings up your photos and albums of your phone. From there you can choose which photo to upload. You also have a choice to title the photo add additional info and whether to enable or disable the comments for that photo. Once you have made your desired changes, tap Save to upload the photo. To upload additional photos to your Account, there is a Camera icon underneath the green bar to the right. Tap on the Camera icon and repeat the process mentioned previously.

How Do I Edit Or Delete a Photo?

To edit or delete a photo, select the Account tab at the bottom of the screen, select the photo you want to edit or delete under your Account. In the upper right corner, there are options to Delete or Edit your photo. On this page, you cannot change the image, but you can change the title the description and disable the comments. After you are done with editing your photos you can save your changes or Cancel. When selecting the Delete icon, you are prompted with a verification popup, there you can continue to Delete the photo or Cancel. Note: if the deleted photo is on a top list, it will still remain there until the next top generation the next day.

How Do I Delete My Account?

To delete your account, first select the Account tab at the button on your screen. Then select the menu button ☰ at the upper right corner in the green banner. Once the menu is open, select Settings which brings up the Delete Account page. Once you tap on the Delete Account, you will be warned that you can not undo this action, and you will have a choice to Cancel or press Ok. After you delete your account all your photos, comments, rates and other data will be deleted. The photos from the Top List categories will be deleted the next day after the new Tops have been recalculated. We will not be able to recover your account or any photos you have uploaded. If you would like to continue to use the application you will need to create a new account.

Can I remove the statistics to view a photo more clearly?

You can click on a photo to see an unobstructed view of the photo.

Display landscape photo

To see a full screen HD version of the landscape photo, rotate your phone to the left. Make sure the 'Portrait Orientation Lock' is turned off in the phone settings.

How Can I Search For Users?

To search for specific users, select the Users tab on the bottom menu. Once on the Users screen, select the magnifying glass icon, middle-left underneath the Users title of the screen. A search menu prompt will appear in which you can type the username of the user who you are searching for.

How Do I Follow/Unfollow a User?

To follow a user, select the Users tab on the bottom of the screen. On the Users page, there will be a list of all available users. When you see a user you would like to follow, press the 3 horizontal dots and then click Follow User. The 3 dots menu can be found either next to the user you want to follow on any page that lists users such as the Users page or in the Users Account page under the Followers/Following. To unfollow someone, you need to be already following them, then you can use the same steps above but instead tap on Unfollow.

Who Are the Favorite Users?

Favorite Users are the users whose photos you have rated and have an average rating of 5.6 or higher, in order by average rate

Who Are the Top Fans?

Top Fans are the users who have rated your photos with an average rating of 5.6 or higher, in order by average rate

How Do I Block a User?

To block a user, go to the User's Account page or find them in the User's page list, press on the 3 dots menu. Once you press on the menu you will see a list of possible actions. If you follow the user you must unfollow them in order to see the Block option. You will be asked if you are sure you want to block "Username", make sure to press Block if you want to block them. The blocked user will not be able to see any of your information

How Do I Unblock a User?

To unblock a user, go to the Users tab on the bottom bar of the screen. In the Users screen, select the menu button ☰ at the upper right corner of the screen. In the drop-down options, select Blocked Users which will take you to your list of blocked users. Select the 3 dots menu next to the user you wish to unblock, and you will be prompted with the options to Unblock or Report the User, or to Cancel. Unblocking the user will bring up a verification prompt.

How To Report a User?

To report a user, go to the Users tab on the bottom bar of the screen. In the Users screen, press on the 3 dots menu. Once you press on the menu you will see a list of possible actions. In the drop-down options, select Report User which will prompt you to the Report User screen. From here you can choose the type of report or describe the reason for the reporting in the window, click Report, or Cancel. We will review your report and take action.

Can I Choose the Photos To Display On My User Strip?

Photos shown on the user strip can't be chosen by the user. The photos with the highest ratings will be chosen for the user strip automatically.

How Do I See Photos That I Have Rated?

To view photos you have rated, select the Account tab on the bottom bar. In the Account screen select the menu ☰ on the upper right corner of the screen. Select the Photos You've Rated from the list which will allow you to view all photos you have rated with rates from 1 to 10.

How Can I See Who Liked My Photos?

To see who liked your photos, select a photo that has received ratings, underneath the photo in the lower left-hand corner select the Rates which will show you a list of users who liked your photo. Note, that only users who rated your photo above 5 will be shown in the User's Liked Your Photo list.

What Are the Top Categories?

Awards have the following time periods: Top of the Day, Top of the Week, Top of the Month, and Top of All Time. For all photos and divided by categories. Awards are recalculated every day at midnight (PST).

How Do the Ratings Work?

The rating of a photo is determined by users' ratings using a 1-10 scale. The total number of rates and the average rating are displayed under the photo. The Likes are rates that are higher than 5. You can click on the rates to see a list of users who liked your photo. To qualify for a Top List, photos must have (x) amount of rates with an average rate of 5.6 or higher. If two or more photos have the same rating, the photo with the most rates places higher in the ranking. If the rating and the number of rates are the same, then the photo that was uploaded earliest will have a higher position in the Top List. Photo Awards shows only two decimal digits in the UI, however, the algorithm compares up to 15 digital points. For example, two ratings might both appear as 8.55 while they are actually 8.552 and 8.553.

How Many Rates Must a Photo Have To Qualify For a Top List?

To provide high-quality content, we adjust the Award settings according to the current number and quality of photos in the system. If you want to see the current settings for the awards, go to the Account screen select the menu ☰ on the upper right corner of the screen. Select Current Awards Settings.

When Can I See My Photo In a Top List?

After a photo is uploaded, it has an initial rating period of three days. After which, it will be eligible to be included in the Top of the Day list, on the next day the photo will be eligible to place on the Top of the Week list. In a week from then, the photo will be eligible to place on the Top of the Month list. In a month from then, the photo will be eligible to place on the Top of All Time list. The lists are recalculated every midnight. Note: Photo Awards uses moving time intervals instead of calendar periods.

Why Don't the Rating And Likes Change On the Photo In the Top Lists After I Rated a Photo?

After you have rated a photo in the Top lists the rating and likes will not change right away. You will be informed that the number of rates and the average ratings may differ from the current ones seen in users' profiles. The rate will be recalculated the next day after all Top Lists are generated. If you would like to see the current rating and number of likes, double click on the photo which brings you to the user album.

How Is a Winner Determined In a Top List When There Is a Tie?

If two photos get the same rating resulting in a tie, the image that has the most ratings overall is the winner in the tie break. If the photos have the same number of rates, the image that was uploaded first will win and receive the higher position in the Top List rankings.

What Happens To a Photo On a Top List If a User Decides To Delete It?

If a user deletes their photo which is featured on a Top List, the photo will be deleted from the Top List the next day after the Top List are recalculated.

How Can I See Received And Sent Comments?

To see received and sent comments, select the Comments tab on the bottom bar. This will display a list of received comments. To see sent comments select the magnifying glass icon, middle-left underneath the Comments title of the screen. A search menu Find Comments will appear. There you can choose Sent Comments or type a word or phrase of the comment(s) you are searching for.

How To Delete a Comment Or Reply?

To delete a comment or a reply, select the comment or reply and swipe it to the left. You will have the option to Edit or Delete a Comment or a Reply. Note: if you delete a comment then all replies to this comment will be also deleted.

Why Can I Leave Comments But Cannot Receive Them?

You can leave comments under any photo you like. To receive comments you need to upload at least one photo to your account. You will still receive replies for your comment even without any photo.

How To Report a Problem?

To report a problem select the Account tab on the bottom bar. Once you are on the Account screen, select the menu ☰ in the upper right corner. From that list menu, select Settings. In the Settings screen choose the Report a Problem option. There you can leave detailed information regarding the problem you've experienced, once you are ready, select Report. We will try to resolve the issue and respond as soon as possible.
